STANLEY LEWIS, ARTIST 1930-2006
Stanley Lewis dedicated his sculptures and engravings to human condition, the environment and the universe.

He was a significantly important artist and the most engaging of souls. Several generations of artists and many social causes benefited from his support.

He has studied and taught at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts. His works are to be found in private and public collections, in Canada and abroad.

After a career in Mexico, Italy, France, China, the United States, Israel and in the Arctic Circle, he returned to his roots in Montreal.

During more than twenty years, he has worked here in his welcoming studio, above Berson Monuments. Which caused him to say:

“ It’s Yin and Yang. I sculpt for the living and downstairs, they sculpt for the dead. ”
